evoke plc, one of the world’s leading betting and gaming companies with internationally renowned brands including William Hill, 888, and Mr. Green, is delighted to announce that it has raised more than £400,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and will extend its charity partnership for a further two years.
With the partnership now extended, evoke and the MND Association have set an ambitious goal to raise £1,000,000 over the three-year term of the partnership.
Since launching in November 2024, the fundraising total has been driven by company-wide participation across evoke’s teams and locations, including two flagship evoke the stars events, which raised £117,000 and £153,000, respectively.
Colleagues have also taken on a wide range of challenges and activities in support of the partnership, including a Bike and Hike event, organising pitch days, completing half marathons, and collecting customer donations in shops. In addition, evoke hosted an MND Race Day at Ripon Racecourse, raising £33,000.
The partnership was established following an internal colleague nomination process, with the MND Association nominated by Leisa Beyers, a retail area manager. The nomination followed Leisa’s niece Tamara’s continued battle with the disease.
MND continues to have a significant impact on families and communities across the UK, including Leeds, where evoke is a major employer, and where the loss of former Leeds Rhino Rob Burrow last year brought renewed national awareness to the condition. Across the UK, more than 5,000 people are diagnosed with MND each year.
Ben Wright, Director of ESG and Sustainability at evoke plc said:
“Raising over £400,000 in just over a year is a huge credit to our colleagues and our customers. The energy behind this partnership has been incredible, from our flagship events to endurance challenges and local fundraising and we’re committed to going even further over the next two years to help reach our £1,000,000 target. A huge thanks goes to our colleagues who have really driven this work and to our customers for their generous support all year.”
Tanya Curry, Chief Executive of the MND Association, said:
“It’s almost impossible to put into words just how much this partnership with evoke plc really means to our community. The money raised will not only allow us to support more people living with MND and their families but it will also mean we can invest in more research which gives us the greatest hope for the future. We are so grateful to everyone at evoke for the kindness, generosity and friendship they have shown to our community and we are thrilled to continue our partnership into 2026 and beyond.”
